Cindy Janego is a Speech-Language Pathologist at Community Medical Center’s Bridges Brain Injury Rehabilitation program. Cindy works to improve both mechanical and cognitive deficits in patients who have TBI-related difficulty with speech, language, and other cognitive-communication disorders. |

Peter Lacny practices with Datsopoulos, MacDonald & Lind in Missoula. His practice areas include White Collar Criminal Defense, General Criminal Defense, Criminal and Civil Forfeiture, Family Law, General Civil Litigation and Personal Injury Law. Peter is a member of MTLA and the Montana and National Associations of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Peter is an active member of the Federal Criminal Justice Act Panel. He is a recipient of the ACLU’s 2006 Vern Klingman award for his work in securing pardons for those Montanans convicted under the sedition act. Peter’s practice emphasizes criminal and civil litigation at both the trial and appellate level. |

Andrée Larose specializes in Special Education, Civil Rights and Discrimination at the law firm Morrison, Motl & Sherwood in Helena, and prior to joining the firm in 2008, she was a senior staff attorney for Disability Rights Montana for over 20 years. Andrée has represented individuals and worked for systems change on issues such as abuse and neglect of persons with disabilities in schools, institutions and other facilities; guardianship and conservatorship; involuntary commitment; mental health services; developmental disabilities services; employment discrimination; and discrimination in medical care, including end-of-life and forced sterilization issues. |

Dave McAlpin was appointed by Attorney General Bullock to head the Forensic Science Division of the Montana Department of Justice in 2009 helping the lab to achieve International Testing (ISO) accreditation in 2010. His duties include administrating the Montana State Crime Lab and Medical Examiner’s office. The lab has a staff of 34 and annual budget exceeding $4 million. He has presented regionally and nationally on video testimony, and management of crime labs during major construction. McAlpin was elected to the Board of Directors of the American Society of Crime Lab Directors (ASCLD) in 2011. He chairs national Advocacy Committee and in that capacity serves as a liaison between ASCLD Board and other professional associations for forensic science and law enforcement. McAlpin also serves on the Ethics committee of the ASCLD Board. | ||

Professor Greg Munro is the Director of Professional Skills and full-time faculty member of the UM School of Law. Greg was a civil trial lawyer in Billings, Montana, for thirteen years practicing in the areas of product liability, medical malpractice, construction site safety, premises liability, automobile accidents, and bank and insurance bad faith torts. He joined the UM Law faculty in 1988, and has published extensively. Munro is a past president of MTLA. He serves on the Montana State Uniform District Court Rules Committee. |

Brenda Toner is the Admissions and Clinical Coordinator at Community Bridges, the brain injury rehabilitation program at Community Medical Center. Brenda has worked in acute, post-acute residential, outpatient, and long term care for nearly 20 years as an occupational therapist specializing in brain injury rehabilitation. She is a certified brain injury specialist through the American Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists, and a certified Clinician through the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association. Brenda specializes in therapy/rehab; home modifications and home safety; brain injury rehabilitation; visual perceptual dysfunctions; education; traumatic brain injury; environmental modification for individuals with cognitive impairments; assessment and treatment approaches for visual/perceptual dysfunction. |

Fred Van Valkenburg has served as the Missoula County Attorney since December 1998. He serves as both the public prosecutor for the State of Montana and as the legal adviser for all county officials within Missoula County. He began working in the office as a Deputy County Attorney in June, 1985. He graduated from Gonzaga University in 1970 and the University of Montana School of Law in 1973. He is a past President of the Montana County Attorneys Association and a member of the National District Attorneys Association. Mr. Van Valkenburg served six terms in the Montana State Senate and has held numerous leadership positions including President of the Senate. |
